“Adriana”, I said “Help me pick out three outfits for Spring Racing Carnival. BLACK AND WHITE Â for Derby Day, GLAMOUR for Melbourne Cup, and FEMININE for Ladies Day.
“Sure!” She said ” No problem”
“Oh and it has to all be from Sass & Bide”
“Let’s do it!”
You may remember my session with Adriana from a previous blog post – she is resident stylist for Westfield Miranda, Westfield Bondi Junction and Westfield Sydney. You may also remember her from styling a couple of Real Housewives from Sydney for a make over session.
Yep. She is popular and getting pretty busy, so I was lucky to score her assistance in picking some outfits.
I am a huge fan of Sass & Bide – edgy, structured and sizing is generous – if you think just because you are 40+ this is not a store for you, I urge you to check it out. You just never know, you may find that one piece that is a stand out and speaks to you. I am no gazelle, I am a size 12 usually and a little shorter than your average supermodel (5’4″) – but I find there is PLENTY to choose from.
There are a lot of beautiful monochrome pieces for Derby Day with hints of metallics. Accent pieces of a beautiful deep green and orange/red and pale blues at Sass & Bide this season suitable for any race day meeting.
Derby Day, 4th of November 2017- Black and White
The Duality Dress – option 1

This amazing, playful, asymmetrical dress is made from raffia and moves with every step. I loved it, but be warned, it adds a little bulk.
- Bag, raffia earrings and bangles also from Sass & Bide
- Shoes from Windsor Smith also from Westfield Miranda
Option 2 – Â Sunny Afternoon Top worn with The Creative Edge Skirt and The Sting Jacket

Classic black and white with a lurex short knit top and a layered frilled skirt. The jacket nearly came home with me: fitted with straps and vents.
- Sunglasses and jewellery from Sass & Bide
- Shoes from Windsor Smith in Westfield Miranda
Melbourne Cup, 7th of November 2017 – Glamorous
The Pipes One Shoulder Dress*

I love the draping and colour of this dress. The fabric is quite fluid and not too short on me. Instantly fell in love with this dress and it came home with me. It will give me just the right pop of colour for a glamorous Melbourne Cup Day. Now where is my champagne??
- Earrings and Bangle also from Sass & Bide
- Shoes from Windsor Smith at Westfield Miranda
Ladies Day, 9th of November2017 – Feminine
Fringe Factor Skirt and Top

It is all about feminine frills, florals and feathers for Ladies Day. Adriana picked out this outfit for me, and I love it. The feathers on the top are removable and give the jacket a completely different, more edgy look.
- Crown and clutch from Mimco at Westfield Miranda
- Shoes from Wanted at Westfield Miranda

I had a great time again, being styled by Adriana. If you have a special occasion to go to, or let her help you find your own style – you can book her HERE for Westfield Miranda.
Thank you for the beautiful Jaime and Stephanie at Sass & Bide for letting us play, and thank you MIMCO at Westfield Miranda for letting us borrow a headpiece and a clutch for the photo shoot xo
Thank you to my photographers: Kelsey Dolan and Leanne Perry and the beautiful Marnie Avagiannis for hair, make up and photography in my feature headshot. x
