The launch of Nest Fine Fragrances in Sephora Australia was recently held at the gorgeous Chiswick Restaurant in Woollahra, Sydney. The romantic greenhouse restaurant was perfect for the launch of the chic range of Nest Fine Fragrances.
As soon as we walked into the venue, our senses were hijacked and transported with scents, visual mood boards, stunning bottles and beautiful greenery.
Founder of Nest Fragrances, Laura Slatkin, shared her story and her passion for each fragrance was evident.
Inspired by the precision and beauty of a fine botanical drawing and the mixed collage work of 18th century artist Mrs Delany, Laura Slatkin has concepted a range of beautiful personal fragrances and worked with a master perfumer to perfect the blends using original ingredients. The bottles and packaging feature examples of original artworks produced to inspire each blend.
We were lucky enough to mingle and sample each and every fragrance in its own stunning bottle or roller ball handbag size. The presentation is so beautiful, so luxurious, and they will look amazing in your home and would make very special gifts.

The NEST Fine Fragrances Collection
citrine eau de parfum
Fragrance Description: The dewy softness of lotus flower and freesia are set against sparkling citrus notes and hints of precious woods.
Key Fragrance Notes: Lemon Blossom, Lotus Flower, Freesia, Dew Drop Accord, Precious Woods
Fragrance Category: Floral-Citrus
My thoughts: I have been wearing this non stop since receiving this. The freshness of the citrus is what strikes me first, and the soft white flower notes lingers for a very long time. With the 30C+ temperatures over the last week, this was so lovely to wear. A daytime favourite. Sunshine in a bottle and a whole lot of happiness to boot.
paradise eau de parfum
Fragrance Description: Paradise perfectly captures a luscious burst of fresh, Mediterranean blood orange. The vibrant character of the fragrance is balanced with watery nuances, a hint of white ginger, and a lingering base of cedarwood.
Key Fragrance Notes: Mediterranean Blood Orange, White Ginger, Cedarwood, Watery Nuances
Fragrance Family: Fruity-Tropical
My thoughts: Love, love love the top note of the Blood Orange. Reminds me of a holiday. Tropical? Definitely!
dahlia & vine eau de parfum
Fragrance Description: Dewy daffodils, peony, and rose are blended with the essence of garden vines. This combination reveals a romantic floral that exudes elegance, grace, and luxury.
Key Fragrance Notes: Dewy Daffodils, Peony, Rose, Garden Vines
Fragrance Family: Floral Bouquet
My thoughts: The sweetest, floral of them all. I do not usually go for florals and it is what immediately hits me at the top note: Peony and Rose. The heart and base note seem slightly greener, and the sweetness is replaced by a powdery, feminine finish. A very romantic fragrance.
indigo eau de parfum
Fragrance Description: A bold citrus accord derived from fresh bergamot handpicked along the coastlines of Southern Italy is combined with warm Moroccan tea and a hint of sweet praline. Creamy Kashmir wood and wild fig from the South of France balance out this alluring fragrance to create a perfectly harmonious blend that is both fresh and sultry.
Key Fragrance Notes: Bergamot, Moroccan Tea, Kashmir Woods, Black Cardamom, Wild Fig
Fragrance Category: Exotic-Spice
My thoughts: In LOVE with this one. To me, this is the most complex of the 7 fragrances: it could be my imagination but I can smell a top note of aniseed. (probably the bergamot). It is exotic, it is woody with a slight sweet undertone. Love. According to Laura Slatkin Indigo is the number 1 seller and has quite a cult following. I want to bathe in this.
verde eau de parfum
Fragrance Description: An invigorating combination of wild fern and Himalayan cedar balanced with verbena leaves and vetiver. Verde blends herbaceous leafy notes with musky undertones for a crisp, light finish.
Key Fragrance Notes: Wild Fern, Himalayan Cedar, Verbena Leaves, Vetiver Fragrance
Family: Modern Fougère
My thoughts: This is the only Unisex fragrance in the range. A beautiful “green” fragrance. Lovely and crisp, the one keyword that comes to mind is “clean” . Reminiscent of a freshly showered body. Handing this one to my husband, but think I might pinch it every once in a while.
midnight fleur eau de parfum
Fragrance Description: Exotic woods, patchouli and black amber are blended with alluring notes of night-blooming jasmine and vanilla orchid – a combination that is bold, irresistible, and purely sensual.
Key Fragrance Notes: Vanilla Orchid, Night-Blooming Jasmine, Black Amber, Exotic Woods, Patchouli Fragrance
Family: Woody-Gourmand
My thoughts: Once upon a time, this is the sort of fragrance I would wear all the time. Sensual, strong, and exotic. Now I am a little older, I tend to keep these fragrances for night time. It is heady and strong, and I am very drawn to the amber in this scent. Simply yum.
white sandalwood eau de parfum
Fragrance Description: White Indian sandalwood is blended with creamy almond, white musk, and exotic spices. White Sandalwood is a warm, rich fragrance that is intoxicatingly delicious.
Key Fragrance Notes: Creamy Almond, White Sandalwood, White Musk Fragrance
Family: Woody / Exotic-Spice / Gourmand
My thoughts: This is my least favourite of the fragrances. Simply because I am not a fan of the sweet almond and musk fragrance. If you like a sweeter note in your scent, this one is for you. The fragrance is rich, decadent and very warm.
The seven fragrances in the Nest Fine Fragrances Collection are unique, original and each has their own personality and character, and the beautiful artwork reflects these. There is one to suit everyone, or many to suit one! All fragrances are available in a very long lasting 50ml Eau de Parfum spray and a 8 ml Eau de Parfum Rollerball and are on the counter at your Sephora Australia Store now.
I was won over by Laura and her passion for fragrance. I was also won over by the collection of fragrances, and I think I may have found some new signature fragrances.
Go try them at your local Sephora. I promise you will be won over too!

Fragrances are my favourite beauty item! I’ll definitely be off to Sephora to spritz & sniff these!
I also love that they will be sold in a roller ball version in addition to the normal bottle format.

Oh wow Barbe, this is one of the most magical fragrance reviews I’ve ever read – I WANT THEM ALL SO BAD! I just know there’ll be some here that I’ll adore – will start with the rollerballs as I can’t get to a Sephora. Thanks so much sweetie ♥♥♥
I need to try out this line of fragrance. I wish I could pick out notes like that — me? I just go “Oh, I like that smell…whatever it is” 😛
