I was sent the most delightful gift last week by the lovely L’Oréal people: A beautiful pink box with the full range of the new Colour Riche Collection – La Vie en Rose Exclusive.
I am a fan of L’Oréal Paris and have used many of their products. They are always of the highest standard and quite innovative. (I am trialling their new cushion foundation, but more about that another time!) I particularly like that their celebrity ambassadors are not just young flawless women, but women of all age groups and ethnicities. Let’s face it, we are part of a big melting pot of colours and ages, and with it come different needs.
The L’Oréal Paris Colour Rich Pinks Collection consists of 5 Colour Riche Lipsticks and 5 Colour Riche Nail polishes, and like their previous collections (Reds and Nudes) are represented by L’Oréal’s Ambassadors.
L’Oréal’s packaging is always spot on – classy, elegant – (yes I am a sucker for pretty packaging!) and this collection does not disappoint. The matt black case with gold writing is very beautiful and lovely to the touch.
As regular readers of my blog know, pink is not my favourite lipstick colour. However the matte texture of these lippies turn them into a modern take of the traditional pink lipstick and I am a little more than won over. The texture of the lipsticks is satiny matte, with mother-of-pearl micro fragments and velvet pigments. The lighter colours are slightly more sheer, with Naomi being the sheerest. Unlike other matte lipsticks, this one will not dry out the lips and feel lovely and smooth. I also really like the scent of the L’Oréal Paris lipsticks.
Naomi’s Delicate Rose – a gorgeous pale, beige nude pink. Perfect for fair skins with a pink undertone. Also the sheerest, most delicate of the collection.
Julianne’s Delicate Rose – another quite sheer, dusty rose pink. Also for those that are fair to medium complexion
Eva’s Delicate Rose – Probably one of my favourites. Eva’s pink packs more of a punch and is more pigmented than the previous two. A peachy pink for those of us with yellow (warm) undertones, but will probably suit fair to dark complexions
Natasha’s Delicate Rose – A soft, watermelon pink. I love this one too. Will suit most complexions.
Doutzen’s Delicate Rose – A blue, intense pink, nearly fuchsia. The most pigmented out of the five. Will suit anyone who dares to wear!
The Colour Riche – Pink Collection Nailpolishes: I am a little confused, because research tells me, that there are matching nail polishes to the lipsticks within the La Vie En Rose collection. As pretty as these colours are, they are not matching to the lipsticks – neither in name or colour.
From left to right: 101 Opera Ballerina, 102 Macaron Noisette, 202 Marie Antoinette, 208 So Chic Pink and 504 Insolent Magenta.
I have not tested all of them, but here I wear 208 So Chic Pink (2 layers). It gives good coverage, and has an easy to apply with, brush. This colour could go nicely with Natasha’s Delicate Rose.
This collection is available June 2016 in Australia from selected supermarkets, pharmacies and variety stores. RRP: $21.95 (lip) and $7.95(Nail)
I will be wearing each colour this week, check out my Instagram and Facebook ! I have always linked up on Ingrid’s page for the Monday Make Up Madness with some other wonderful beauty bloggers.
What do you think Fashionistas? Any of the shades take your fancy?
